Over the past two years, we have been working with Montana Fish and Wildlife to obtain a permit to transfer two captive-born adult black bears from our facility in Texas to our ranch here in Paradise Valley. Our focus this summer is completing the bear habitat construction and ranch expansion, as well as, relocating our bears as soon as possible.

Camel Discovery has been caring for bears and educating the public at our southern location for over a decade, and we are looking forward to sharing our bears with Montana. Ami and Ernie were re-homed to us as young cubs in 2011, after being exploited by the entertainment industry. They were considered retired at just 6 and 8 weeks old. Fortunately, for the bears, they ended up with us, and we have been spoiling them ever since. The bears are actually two weeks apart in age, but we raised them as siblings. At seven years old now, this brother and sister duo are happy, well adjusted, and absolutely adore attention. Camel Discovery is dedicated to providing the best care and welfare for our bears, and we know they are going to thrive in their new home here in Paradise Valley.

A three acre bear habitat is currently under construction and near completion in the hills above Camel Discovery, and private experiences with the bears will be able to be made through reservation only. Our cabin and tipi guests at the ranch will be offered a "Meet the Bears" experience with their stay. Tourists and the general public will also be able to schedule visits.

We look forward to our future seasons, and hope you make a point to schedule a visit.
